Each year, the Cincinnati ProLife Committee
sponsors the annual ProLife Rosary Procession
and Rally in reparation for abortion in downtown Cincinnati.
The next event will take place on January 21,
2012. In January 2011, nearly 600 people marched for life.
In 2010, over 1000 people showed up
to take part in the public recitation of 15
decades of the Rosary.
NEARLY 52 MILLION
CHILDREN HAVE BEEN MURDERED since the
infamous Roe vs. Wade decision that legalized
abortion on January 22nd, 1973. Won't you
join us?

The Cincinnati ProLife Committee
acknowledges that life is a gift from God. We
are dedicated to protecting life in the womb
despite the modern culture of destroying it by
abortion. We strive to spiritually protect life
by promoting an annual public Rosary Procession
in the bitter cold of January in downtown
Cincinnati as penance for the infamous United
States Supreme Court decision, Roe v. Wade. We
believe that God hears our prayers in reparation
for the 50 million lives lost since that January
23, 1973 court decision. We also honor those who
have stood up for life in public office and
those who deal with the devastating effects
caused by abortion.
While many Americans mistakenly believe that the
Roe v. Wade decision is 'the law of the land',
it is a court decision, not a law. Roe v. Wade
struck down a Texas law against abortion. Many
Constitutional scholars, including those who
approve of women having the choice of an
abortion, admit that the U.S. Supreme Court had
no authority under the U.S. Constitution to rule
on the constitutionality of a state law barring
abortions. The Tenth Amendment to the U.S.
Constitution clearly states that any powers not
given specifically to the U.S. Congress, nor
denied to the States, belong to the people, or
to the States. So procedurally, Roe v. Wade was
a poor decision.
Substantively speaking, it is impossible to
respect it. The Court did not address the issue
of when life begins. Since no woman has ever given birth to
anything besides a human being, life in the womb
belongs to a person, unique in its genetic
makeup. That person has a right to continue its
life outside the womb, i.e TO BE BORN!
The current legal status quo, unfortunately, is
that abortion is available up until the day of
delivery.
Proponents of abortion insist on the 'woman's
right to choose'. But they never finish the
sentence, i.e. the right to choose death for
their baby. And since a large percentage of
persons denied life through surgical or chemical
abortions are female, why is their choice to
live ignored?
Abortion is first and foremost a money making
business and is targeted to the vulnerable with
problem pregnancies as a solution to their
problem. Information about research connecting
abortion to breast cancer is suppressed.
Abortuaries are often in violation of sanitary
standards relating to hospital surgery.
Americans are forced to subsidize abortionists'
salaries through Title X tax funding. And the
media ignores thousands of Americans
demonstrating every January against abortion and
for life.
Since the invention of the sonogram, however,
former abortionists and their assistants have
abandoned their work to kill babies. Most
notably among them, Dr. Bernard Nathanson, a
former abortionist, has become a pro-life
advocate. State to state restrictions on
abortion are encouraging. Educational efforts,
especially on college campuses, are resulting in
the majority of Americans on record as being
against abortion on demand.
It is the hope of the Cincinnati ProLife
Committee that by attracting a large crowd each
January to pray publicaly, followed by a rally
to honor those in the practical arena of trying
to protect life either politically or in day to
day efforts, that the righteous cause of life
will ultimately prevail, according to God's holy
will.
